christianaudio app for iPhone and iPad

Really like having all my books available in my pocket! I havent had any problems with the App. The closest thing to an issue Ive had has been that the volume of the app is consistently quieter than other audio apps on my phone. Other than that it is great I do have some request for an update that I think would be beneficial. I would like to be able to download multiple books at once and change the playback speed to 1.25x. Most of the time 1.5 is good but for some readers that is just a little too fast. I dont know how anyone handles 2.5x or 3x speed. Those seem unnecessary. All in all the app is a great addition to what christianaudio offers. Keep up the good work!

They stand behind their app and are always helpful. I love to listen to audio books and was so glad they created this app to do so. The convince is great and they have improved it. I think as they get feedback they will improve it more.

I thank God for this wonderful app. So far Ive down loaded dozens of audio books with no problem. Its a true joy to listen to excellent audio books that help grow me as a Christian.

Bought a book and my library simply wont refresh. Refresh keeps timing out. I have no access to my library at all via the app

Update - Unfortunately, this app just continues to get worse and worse. I have had to delete the app completely and re-downloaded several times to try to get it to work. Every time I read downloaded I lose all of my previous information about the books I was listening to. The downloading process is terrible. Most of the time, it just doesnt work. It will start downloading my book, and then just stop halfway through the download. The app developer needs to completely scrap this app and start from scratch, in my opinion. This is just too filled with bugs. Too frustrating. Not worth the time and effort. --------------- Previous review… First off, Im really glad this app finally exists. Ive been buying books from christianaudio for many years. I also buy a lot of books from Audible. Audible has had a great app for many years that I use daily. Ive been looking forward to Christian Audio developing an app as well. The App is finally here, but the thing is it is terribly buggy. Which makes it frustrating and difficult to use. Here are my biggest frustrations: 1. Every time I try to refresh the audio books in my library on my device the app freezes up and I have to shut the app down and reboot it. 2. For no apparent reason, if I pause the audiobook and then come back to it a few minutes later, the audio jumps back about five or 10 minutes, so I am re-listening to something that Ive already listened to. So I have to keep using the jump forward button to find the place where I left off last time. 3. For no apparent reason that I can figure out, when I have shut the audiobook app down completely, then opened it back up again a day or two later, the audiobook I have been listening to will start over again from the very beginning of the audiobook. Again, very frustrating because I have to go back and find the place I left off again. I should note, that this is happening with books that I have downloaded from the cloud onto my device. Also, the app is missing what is arguably the single greatest feature for this kind of app. There is no streaming service available on the app. Your only option is to download the books directly onto your device instead of streaming. Streaming is what makes this kind of app most useful because most devices (like an iPhone, iPad, or iPod) have very limited amount of space on them. When you can stream the audio book, it doesnt take up valuable space on your device. Hopefully this is a feature coming in the future. Anyway, Im very glad this app is here. I just hope all of the bugs get worked out quickly so that we all can start enjoying the app, and more importantly the wonderful books that are on the app.

The App is Continually Signing Out on me. Not only is this an inconvenience, I am unable to pause my book while playing. When I sign back in to pause, a second (or third!) instance of the book starts playing.

I listen to 3-5 audiobooks a week. When I saw this app I was very excited, and the prices are great comparatively to others. However I have not been able to fully download a book which is disappointing. I may need to find another way to listen to my books from this program.

This use to work very well on my iPhone 5s, but now, after the update, it wont show all my audiobooks, it will only show two. Please fix this issue.

I paid $15 for a book and it will not download on my phone or work on their app. Why make an audio program the will not work on an IPhone!!!! Do not waste time unless you will use this on a computer. It does not work on smartphone
